Go to The New York Times' Egypt page. Read through the information it tells you about Egypt's history and the current protests.

Send me an e-mail with the following information by 10:00 tonight for 5 points extra credit.

• Name Egypt's president. Explain how he came to power and tell a little bit about his time in office.
• Describe some of the reasons behind the current protests in Egypt.
